The weather is cooperating and the Juneau 4th of July Fireworks Crew is preparing for the show on schedule at midnight tonight (Tuesday). The annual show, the first in the nation, will take place in Gastineau channel on the Juneau waterfront on the stroke of midnight to ring in the 4th of July Independence Day holiday.

KATH-TV will also be livestreaming the fireworks show online at: http://kath.tv/index.php?page=livestream

Fireworks crew-member Gary Stambaugh told us that as of 10:45 AM, the weather is looking very favorable: "This looks fantastic. This is the best shooting weather we could hope for."

The show will be broadcast live across Juneau and Southeast with a special choreographed soundtrack on KATH-TV in HD and the Juneau Radio Center stations 800AM KINY, 630AM KJNO, 1330AM KXJ, Mix 106.6FM and Taku 105.1 with coverage beginning just before midnight.
